Anyone catch John Mackey's, CEO of Whole Foods, "Loose Talk"?
In a recent interview with the New Yorker, Mackey contented that “no scientific consensus exists” about the causes of climate change.

What do you think? Are you in support of Mackey, or will you be looking for another Natural & Organic Grocery store to spend your money?

Solicitations 195

Laurie Brown sends out a periodical email notification of federal and state funding solicitations which she simply calls "Solicitations." In the introductory sentences she encourages people to pass the information along to others. In that spirit, I've edited her her original list to make it specific to opportunities available in our region.
If you want to sign up to receive these funding newsletters, send a subscription request to laurie.e.brown@comcast.net. If you would like to announce an RFP in one of these newsletters, forward a summary to that same email address.

RE: Sustainability at UNO

The good news is this: a public conversation has started about how to move UNO forward towards a sustainable future. Shelton Hendricks sent a "dear colleague" email out November 8th, asking recipients to “…list ideas as to how UNO might move to incorporate philosophies and practices associated with sustainability into any or all of its enterprises. You might think of these in terms of teaching or academic programs, research, community outreach, campus life, and/or university administration.”
